Apartments for Life

Zorgenvrij wonen

Quintis and the Humanitas' Apartments for Life concept

European countries are seeking forms of collaboration with primary healthcare and institutional care for the chronically ill and elderly in order to achieve a more comprehensive and integrated service to their population.

The Humanitas foundation in The Netherlands has found a solution for this challenge: the Apartment for Life concept. This type of housing allows all types of care, including intensive nursing home care and short-stay hospital-care, to be given in one's own home. Important starting-point in this concept is that the care is strictly based on the demand of the client.

Quintis and the Humanitas Foundation

Quintis and Humanitas have a long relationship that started in 1999 with the foundation of Humanitas Woonzinnig. This consultancy was set up by the Humanitas Foundation Rotterdam and the national association Humanitas. Humanitas Woonzinnig became the point of mutual interest for the concept of Apartments for Life. They advised care organisations and other agencies about the concept. In 2003 Humanitas Woonzinnig found in Quintis the right partner to preserve and expand her knowledge, appraisal and skills. Quintis is a management consultancy with a long history in the field of housing, care and social well-being. Quintis is the experienced companion for housing and care organisations, local governments and other agencies who work towards a sustainable quality in housing for their clients.
